THE DEATH ROLL. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. NEW YORK, June 9. The death roll for the ten days’ spell of intense heat, which is now returning to normal June weather, stood above the five hundred mark on Monday night, with Philadelphia and New York the heaviest sufferers. The official records in Philadelphia place the heat toll at 136 lives.
