A police order forbids xoreign dancing in cafes, tearooms, and elsewhere, except in licensed halls, and private homes, where dancing is permissible until ten o’clock at night. Only tne Imperial Hotel, where the majority of the foreigners hold a weekly dance, vainly protested. Embassies and legations are not affected. .The order is due to pressure by reactionaries objecting to anything foreign. —Sydney Sun Cable.
