Polling for the triennial election of members of ,the Victorian Legislative Council were held yesterday, and it is reported‘from • alii ee,litres to have beery quiet. Of seventeen retiring members, nine .wore returned unopposed, including Mr Goiidie, Minister for Public Works. The main interest of the noil > vas attached to ' the contest between -the Country Party and the Nationalists in the rural provinces.
