BEEKEEPERS’ CONFERENCE. (BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) GEEYMOUTH, June 4. At the Beekeepers’ Conference the following remits were adopted : Southland branch.—(l) “That the Southland branch desires to express hearty appreciation of the excellent work that has been and is still being done by the temporary local inspectors in the reduction of foulbrood, and would urge the Department to continue its work on the present lines.. Judging by the satisfactory reports of these inspectors, there is great hope of the ultimate eradication of the disease, but if at this stage inspection be discontinued, the disease will again increase rapidly.” (2) “That the Department be urged to gazette regulations effectively to prohibit the .removal of diseased bees from one location to another.”
