ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
YOUNG WOMAN DIES SUDDENLY
(by telegraph PIIESS association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 5. Rita Seaton, a single woman, aged 23, died suddenly in a chemist’s shop yesterday, where she had called, spying that she felt faint. At the inquest the doctor said he could rot give a definite opinion as to the cai se of death. The inquest was adjourned to enable a post mortem examination to be held.
MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT
WELLINGTON, June 5
A motor cycle accident in Kent Terrace last night resulted in Mrs Annie Champion, a widow, of Otaki, being taken to hospital seriously injured about the head. The driver of the machine, Lynn Thetford, of Kilbirnie, was less "seriously hurt. The cycle struck a pedestrian and carried him some distance, and then swerved into a shop verandah post. No one was able to say what occurred then, but presumably the side-car, in which the woman was riding, overturned. The pedestrian’s injuries were slight, and he was able to proceed home.
