ELTHAM v. HAWERA. Thirteen men of the Eltham Club came donut to Hawera to-day. to .fulfil their engagement with the local club. The conditions overhead were adverse and the wind was troublesome, but the course was in very good order. Eltham players were very pleased with the course. Only 10 holes were played in the morning, and the results were as follows, Eltham players being mentioned first in each case: L. and J. Quin 1 v. Beechey and Elliott; Dale and Turner 1 v. Salmon and Sutton; Turner and Beeves v. Cox and Byan, all square; Carter and Wylds v. Hay Mackenzie and Fletcher 1; Young and Morton 1 v. Lane and Little; Belcher brothers v. Bright and Moes, all square. Eltham 3 matches, Hawera 1 match.
