PALMERSTON N., June 3. A fatal accident occurred at the railway yards at - 12.30 a.m. whereby a shunter named Oaniel aged about 30, a married, man, lost ins life. The deceased had piloted an engine out of the sheds, had' coupled it oil to a. train, and was proceeding to board a passenger car returning to the sheds when lie was struck by a moving line of sheep trucks' and frightfully injured. Medical assistance was "summoned, but the deceased died without regaining consciousness within less than half an hour.
