. Great preparation, is, being made for the grand annual Waimatq football ball to, be held in the, Town Hall on Wednesday, June 10. The different committees appointed 1 have every Retail well in hand. Everything in connection with the ball will be of the best and everyone present will be well catered lor, and a splendid evening’* amusement should! be assured. LADIES’ HOCKEY. Kaponga, ami Manaia played at Manaia oil Saturday, and alter a very keen contest resulted in a draw—two goals each. For Manaia, D. Hotter and G. Bennett scored. K.‘ Litehwark and T. Saddler were the scorers for Kaponga.
