DE PINEDO’S FLIGHT.
ARRIVAL AT BROOME

The Italian aviator Da Pi fiedo landed at Broome at one in, the afternoon, having left Koepang at in the morning. He. thus covered o<o miles in six hours. Re Pinedol said that over the first stage from, .Brindisi to Alexandria; conditions were good, but from there to Bagdad the .air was bumpy. The machine behaved wonderfully well from Bagdad to. Karachi. He had an uncomfortable journey from Bombay to Calcutta, having to, keep a.t a, height of nine thousand feet, Rangoon, tb was tlie Avorist stretch.„ -t’ rained continually and was always cloudy. He had to, fly very low for seveiii ho/urs”.. during the flight from Koepang to Broome were the best experienced on the trip. He said tlie object of the flight was purely sporting. Altogether conditions had been better than, lie had expected. - He will overhaul the machine at Melbourne. then proceed. to Japan and back to Italy, vja_Northern India.
