KIDNAPPING PLOT. REVEALED TO POLICE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, May 29. News from Los Angeles states' that th ree men have been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to kidnap Mary Piok ford, the motion picture actress. Detectives state that the men arrested had been shadowed for two weeks. 9'hey planned to disguise as “shriner*,'’ now in convention liere, and to operate from ai car decorates! with the shrine colours. Miss Picklord was to have been forced from an automobile while bound for her home from the studio, and her chauffeur was to be >sandbagged. The kidnappers pia, nned to demand 100,000 dollars on the day following the abduction, increasing their demands as the search spread. Miss Pickford was selected a.l+er Poli Negri. Buster Keaton and owners were considered. Miss Pickford, in co-operation with the police, went through] her picture work during the week as usual, lier home being heavily guarded. Adrian Wood, one of the men arrested, gave detailis in a signed confession.
