TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly. meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held at. New Plymouth last week. Business of interest to the .southern end of the district wa-s transacted as below :
Applications to transfer were-granted as follows: —Section S 7, block X, Ngaere, E. Pollard to- J. A. Crocker; section 124, block XI, Kaupokomii, Ellen. Burr and J. M. Barr to J. L. Chamberlain.
The application, of F. Greaves for an area of eight acres on the Patea. River in block X, Oka.tu, was adjourned. , Forty application® under the. Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act were considered, and of these seven applications to transfer, eix applications for stock advances were recommended, one defere-rd, and one refused.
