MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At the usual monthly meeting of the genera l , committee of the Egmont A. and P. Association, held to-day, there were present: Messrs &. C. Tonks (chairman), F. Ho-skin, N. Wren, F. Mills junr., N. Crocker, H. Finlay, G. W. Stubbs. J. D. Scott, B. C. Lysaght, John Forbes, E. A. Washer, R. MeCov, T. Wilson, and A. Lankow. DATES OF SHOW. After a brief discussion, it was resolved to pencil in November 18 and 19 as the dates for the show. Palmerston North will have November 3,4, and 5. and Wanganui probably the week following. It was agreed that if Wanganui decide not to hold a. spring show .the dates might he. revised. TROTTING CLUB. In reply to a .suggestion from the Hawera Trotting Club, it was agreed that the Association’s Ground Committee meet, tlie committee of tlie> club on the ground on a date to be arranged and discuss the layout of the grounds, with a view to seeing it some working basis could b,e arranged. NOTICE, OF MOTION.
Notice of motion was given bv Mr R. McCov to the effect that an alteration he made in the holding ot the show • that it he made a one-day show, on a Wednesday, and that the date be fixed for Wednesday, November lb toi this year. Mr McCoy gave Ins reasons and after a brief discussion it was resolved, on the motion of the chairman, to. call a special meeting for Saturday, June 13, to discuss the .suggested alteration. . . ~ -. .. The' chairman said he believed it would result in large entries, saving ot expenses, secure the weekly half-holi-ciay, increase interest, and be benent.‘ to the farmers. Oil the suggestion of the chairman it was, resolved! to set up a sub-cornmittee c°nsisting of Messrs.. McL Dowie, B. Lysaght and the president, to. go into the matter with Mr, Ogle and to report later COMMITTEES.

The following advised, their inability from various < causes to continue membership:—Messrs. J. E. Campbell, A Dunlop, AY. N. Matthews, A. Meuli, T. Taylor, AY. Robertson' (AVa.verley). All wished the association every success. GENERAL. Mr J. F .Gillanders wrote, thanking the committee for use of. hurdles and stable lent during the Trotting and Racing Club meetings. In view of the alterations made to the produce shed, another opinion will be secured oil the stability ot tlie roof of the building. In reference to the cup donated by the Wanganui Fresh Food and lee-Co., the company wrote- asking for an assurance that the cup Would not lie allowed out of the Association's! possession, ‘and stating that on receipt of this assurance the cun would be forwarded. As new conditions bad been unde bv the company, it was resolved to communicate further with them, as it was considered impossible to grant "he assurance desired.
