PRINCE LEADS COMMANDO. CAPETOWN. May 7. The Prince enjoyed a drive of 110 miles to George, and Knysna. Although the mountains were swathed m mist,’ children carpeted the road with purple heather. The party reached George ahead of time. The Prince told the Mayor that he vvas piepared to do anything. He visited the cathedral, and picked' out an. , old man of 94 in the crowd and chatted # with him. Then the oldest woman was presented to him. The Prince went for a gallop on the veldt as leader of the commando. Without changing his clothes in the evenino- he attended to ‘ country dance, at which the orchestra was composed of a fiddle, a piano, and a ’cello. It was a ioyous affair.
