HAND-SHAKING PESTS
CROWD ANNOYED
LONDON, May IS. The attempts of .“trusters’’ to shake hands with the King infuriated the huge crowd at Wembley, which, was watching their Majesties’ party privately travelling in the rail-o-doek car from the Garden Club,, where they dined. \ to witness the Stadium night per-r formanee, “London Defended.” The King embarrassedly grasped the hand of a man who was running alongside the car, but when a second man attempted to shake hands the crowd roared, “Leave the King alone!” An angry woman seized the ultra patriot’s coat tails, and the crowd insisted that the hesitant- police should form a cordon around him.
