CO-OPERATION OP STRATFORD WITH lIAWERA. DISCUSSION AT STRATFORD. At. the meeting of the Stratford Progress League' the question of linking up motoring interests of Stratford with South Taranaki was discussed By members. Mr Nicliol reported having interviewed. Mr Walkl'ey, of the South Taranaki Association, and said tl-at genteraan had expressed willingness on the part of the association to send a delegation to Stratford to discuss the matter.. Personally, Mr Nicliol thought that Stratford motorists could not do better than link up with a strong body like the. South Taranaki Association. Mr McKee referred to the benefits to be- derived from membership to an automobile association, and mentioned tlie great amount of excessive speeding in and through Stratford. He thought the association of motorists could do a lot in the matter of taking steps to check the evil. Mr Nicliol said that there >verc very many advantages to.be derived from a strong membership in Stratford to the South Taranaki Association. lie understood that the South Taranaki Association intended to boost the beauties of the route through the Tangarakau Gorge and on to Te Kuiti. After discussion the committee was given authority to call a public meeting to meet the South Taranaki representatives.
