POSSESSION OP CLOTHING

An echo of the recent series of city burglaries committed by “Mike” Flynn and Robert Heaton Munro was heard at the Police Court this morning, when Else Lovegrove, aged 20, was charged with receiving from Robert Heaton Munro a frock and woollen costume valued at £lO, the property of Schneideman Bros.
Chief Detective Cummings said that both Munro and Flynn had been sentenced for having * committed burglaries in the city. The young woman had been living with Munro for the' past 18 months. When Senior Deteotive Hammond visited Munro’s house the stolen goods were found, and aocused had in her possession some of the goods. She admitted having the garments, in her possession, hut stated that she was not, aware that they were stolen. This was confirmed by Munro.
After reading a long statement made to the police by the accused, Mr J. W. Poynton, S.M., dismissed the charge against the accused.
