MATRICULATION AGE.
SENATE DECIDES ON INCREASE. (by TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH. May 19. By 11 votes to 3, the University Senate approved of the raising of the matriculation age from 16 to Id, on the motion of . Professor Hunter, who said that there were getting into the University many pupils with immature mind, and who wou'd greatly benefit from another year at .school.
