Market slow. The quantity of butter afloat and discharging (New Zealand, Australian and Argentine) is estimated as 955,000 boxes. Cheese is quoted at 945. The market is inactive. The quantity of New Zealand and Australian cheese discharging is estimated at 225,000 crates. FROZEN MEAT.

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date 14tli instant: Lamb: New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury heavy lOfd, light I2d; North Island, heavy 10-}d, light 11-J-cl. Demand for New Zealand lamb runs principally on light weights. Market, weak; any change in prices is in favour of buyers.

LONDON WOOL SALES. , Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 14th instant: Wool sales closed active, with good competition for all good wools. Continental buyers were the principal operators in merino; good demand from Home trade for crossbred. As compared with last sale’s closing rates merino wools, greasy, 3d to 4d lower; merino, scoured, 4d to 8d lower; half bred greasy, 3d to 5d lower; crossbred, fine quaity, 5d to 7d lower; crossbred, medium and oarse. 5d to 6d lower; crossbred, scoured, od to 7d lower; slipe wools, 6d to 8d lower; lambs, 4cl to 5d lower. Of 69,000 bales catalogued, 43,000 bales were sold, 24.000 hales to the Continent, 18,000 bales to the Home trade, and 1000 bales to America, leaving 115.000 carried forward, of which 90,000 bales have not been offered.
