FRENCH WANT MONOPOLY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPY RIGHT. (Received May 19, 11.30 a.m.) TOKIO, May 18. According to press reports, the French commercial mission, now in Japan, is negotiating for a monopoly of all Japanese silks to EnroDe for the purpose of avoiding the new English taxes.—Reuter.
