F<)R AIIDARLE DF.AI ANDS. DISARMAMENT PROPOSALS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Mav 18, 9.15 a.m. LONDON, May 17. The Observer’s diplomatic correspondent says tile Allies’ note on disarmament will shock German public opinion. It will be a long document, containing a formidable list of demands which must be carried out before the Allies are satisfied that Germany has fulfilled the disarmament clauses of the peace treaty, and therefore before Cologne can he evacuated. British official circles state that an Anglo-French agreement must be virtually reached on the subject.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
