PLAGUE OF MICE. BRISBANE, May 18. A plague of mice is causing serious damage in the wheat areas. Hosts of the rodents are attacking both growing and ,stored grain. GERMAN GLASS. BRISBANE, May 18. . A deputation of returned soldiers and other kindred bodies protested to Archbishop Sliarpe against placing German stained glass in the memorial church at Hamilton. The Archbishop promised to procure English glass instead of German for the five windows to which objection rvas taken.
