MILITARY EXAMINATION.
INVESTIGATIONS IN CORK. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION--COPY'RIGHT. LONDON. May 16. A sensation was caused in Cork owing to a thousand Federation troops, also civic guards, encircling a wide area and closely inspecting people and premises.
It is rumoured that the movement is connected with the shooting of unarmed British soldiers in Queenstown two years ago'. Twenty-five persons were arrested and subsequently released.
