In another column will be found the preliminary announcement of the complete dispersal sale of the famous Jersey herd of the late Mr. S. R. Lancaster, which will take place at the farm, Xnpier road. Pa imerston North, on June IS and 19. Anybody who knows anything about Jerseys, is aware that the late Mr. Lancaster was among the foremost breeders and judges in the Dominion, that he was most progressive and enterprising, and that he spared absolutely no expense in importing the very best strains of Jersey blood fiom both Jersey Island and Canada. The executors in tire estate have given instructions that every animal in the herd is to he submitted to auction absolutely without reserve, so that this sale affords an opportunity never before brought to
'coth (established breeders and those desirous of creating herds to secure the best blood in the world at their own prices. The catalogue comprises nearly two hundred head, and embraces a. very considerable number of imported animals, both male and female.
