BIG LAND SALE.
DAIRYING AND GRAZING FARMS. CLOSE TO HAWERA. SALE ON MAY 30. The notice that the well-known farm “Fairfield,” owned by the Tofiks’ Estate', was to be subdivided and put up to auction has been received with very great interest by the farming community up and down the coast, and also in other parts of the North Island. The land comprises 452 acres freehold, which has been cut- nxi into- four farms for dairying, and alongside is an area of 165 acres to be put up to lease. In addition there will also he submitted ten farmlets, varying from four to ten acres. The land fronts the Tawhiti and Den by -roads, and a new road, to be put in from the- latter. It is only IJ miles from Hawera Post Office, and comprises some of the richest, dairying and fattening land in the Dominion. The residential areas are schemed to give opportunity to anyone wishing to secure a- small area within easy reach of the town.
At the -same time there will be put up by auction two farms of about 70 acres each, adjoining the Tonks Estate. These are also rich dairying land, and must command inquiry from men in search, of land. i v At the same time will he submitted a fine farm, for dairying, grazing or mixed farming, near Hurleyville. This is also offered on behalf of the Tonics’ Estgte. These farming properties are hound to attract much attention. They are such as to invite inquiry from farmers wishing farms of different areas. The Fairfield Estate is one of the last of the. properties round Hawera to be put up to auction.
