WEDDING.

MARX GREY. The marriage took place at the Mangatoki Church on Wednesday, April 29, of Miss Madeline Mark, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Marx, Pii'ongi;\.__ to Mr John Laird Grey, youngest"" son of Mr and Mrs Grey, Auckland.

The Rev. Mr Solomon, of Opuuake, officiated, and Mrs. K. Marx played the bridal music. Girl friends of the bride beautifully decorated the church. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming gown of pale-blue and pink roses, with an overdress of georgette draped and fastened by a large silver buckle. She wore the usual’veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of asparagus fern and white chrysanthemums. The • bridesmaid. Miss Grace North, of Stratford, wore a frock of apricot satin marocnin trimmed with fur. with a band of autumn leaves in her hair. Miss Gena Marx, cousin of the' bride, as flower-girl, looked very dainty attired in pink crepe de chine, trimmed with pink and blue roses, and wore n pink band of ribbon in her hair. She carried a pretty basket laden with flowers. After the ceremony, the bridal party motored to the home of her grandparents, where a reception was held. The dining-room was tastefully decorated with pink and blue streamers, and the table with blue and pink flowers. After the usual toasts were honoured, Mr and Mrs Grey left by motor, the bride travelling in a beautiful hand-made knitted cream costume, touched with blue, and blue hat to match. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a handsome travelling suitcase, the bride’s to the groom a. set of military brushes. The bridesmaid received a large silver-topped powder bowl, and the flower girl a dainty broach set with pearls from the bridegroom. Mr Eric Bell, of Auckland, carried out the duties as best man.
