WINTER MEETING
SECOND DAY POSTPONED
As the funeral of the late Right’Hon. W. F. Mn s&ey, Prime Minister, takes place on Thursday, the Egmont Racing Club authorities made application this morning to have the second day’s racing of the winter meeting, being held this week, postponed from Thursday to Saturday. At 2 p.m. approval of the 'alteration was received from the president of the Racing Conference, Sir Geo. Clifford, and, subject- to the consent of the Minister of Internal Affairs, a reply’from whom was expected this afternoon, the meeting will be held on ■ Wednesday and Saturday instead of the scheduled dates SCRATCHED.
Minstrel Bov has been scratched for the Telegraph Handicap on Wednesday.
