THE STOCK MARKET.
A WEEK’S REVIEW. The yardings of cattle have again, been heavy during the past week, and although the price of boner s is only 11s per hundred, vendors, have met the market and there have been total clearances under the hammer. Very few sheep have been yarded, but what have come forward have met with a ready sale. Fat sheep are still hard xo find, very few are offering at present, and Taranaki has had to go to the sounth end of the district to get requirements. One or two lines well forward dairy heifers have met with a ready sale, a pen at Auroa making £7 15s under the hammer. It is just a little too early to have any heavy enquiries for dairy cattle, although several herds, have been sold privately at prices quite satisfactory to vendors.
