After lunch the 300 yards of the Ma.rllboro.ugh Match was. tackled and got through, with difficulty, the later men being hampered by a drizzle ami, poor light. A sta.nt was made' also with the 300 yards range of the Auckland Match, hut only two or three men completed their shooting when, rain came on heavily, and firing ceased for the day at 3.30. ■ The short range of the Marlborough Match .produced some very hot scoring. The winner, Mills (Kiwi), got on a possible and 49 at 500. Donald (Opaki) notched , two 49’s, and James (Napier), Boon (Karori) and J, Feast (Gveytown) each got all into the bull at 300, while Soifer (Tnamarina) and Goldfinch (Wellington Navals) did the same at 500 yards. • \‘ During the afternoon, Sir R..
