MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

ELTHAM SITTING. The ordinary sitting of the Eltham Magistrate’s Court was held oh Tuesday. Mr A. M. Mow'em, S.M., presided. UNDEFENDED CASES. Judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended civil cases: —C. C. Stunners v. G. Major, £8 10s, costs £1 15s 6d; John Revell and Sons v. E. Avery, £2, costs £1 5s 6d ; T. Fountaine v, C. A. Vincent, £1 12s 6d, costs 8s; H.B. v. L. Sheahan. £1 7s 6d, costs 18s 6d; I. Saundersoli v. J. Sccon, £4O, costs £3 Is 6d. * / . L. Sheahan was proceeded against under a judgment, summons by Ada Noclder, for £22 12s for board. Defendant was ordered to. pay the amount and costs forthwith, in default 22 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended, provided the amountdue was |iaid at the rate of £5 a month. J. C. Skipper (Mr A. Chrystal) proceeded against G. Barker on a judgment summons for £ll 17s for goods supplied. Barker was ordered to pay forthwith, in default 12 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended for 28 days. Sued bv Charles Norman Taplin for £7 10s 6d for professional services rendered, James Allen was ordered to pay the amount forthwith, or „in default seven dnys’ imprisonment, warrant to he suspended for seven days. BREACH of BY-LAWS. On a charge of riding a motor-cycle on the Eltham road on March 21 without a light in front and the number plate il bun inn ted. W. H. Clarke was fined £2 and costs 12s.
