WELLINGTON ELECTIONS.

LABOUR PARTY ACTIVE.

(By Telegraph.—Special to Star). WELLINGTON. April 28

By nominating full tickets for the Mayoral, City Council, Hospital Board and Harbour Board elections, the Labour Party in Wellington has made the issue a political one, though the generality of electors do not appear to view’ the position in that light. Citizens’ tickets have been formed in opposition to the Labour section, and* there is a small 1" sprinkling of independents. A straight-out contest between Mr Chapman (Labour) and Mr Norwood (citizens’ ticket) for the Mayoralty, is the most interesting feature of a- somewhat tame election.
