RAWHITIROA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
Residents in our district are all agreed that the season has been remarkably good and that the condition of the pastures is such as has not been equalled for this time of the season for many years. All farmers have ample feed and stock are looking particularly well. In common, however, with other districts the milk supply lit the factory is going down fast. The quality of the land is generally agreed to be very good—equal to about a cow to two acres—and recently a sale was effected by a resident settler at a price said to lie about £4O per acre. The w-inter round of amusements, which are so welcome to the dairy farmers all over the province, has commenced in this district with the weekly euchre parties. The first was held lost week.
Next Wednesday the seventh annual tennis ball will be held. Tennis is a popular pastime here and has many devotees. The annual hall is always a popular function and a large attendance is expected. y
