PERSONAL ITEMS.
One. of the oldest and most highly esteemed residents of the Inglewood district passed to her rest on Saturday in the person of Airs Trimble, widow of the late Colonel Trimble. They were among the earliest of the settlers on the Norfolk Road. One of the sons is Mr H. Trimble, who still resides at the old homestead,- and another is Mr A. Trimble, who years ago was clerk of the Court in Hawera. In her death, though she had reached the 'very advanced age of ninety years, her family will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends.
Air. and Airs. J. Crabtree, of the Coronation Hotel, Eltliam, were given an enthusiastic send-off on Friday evening by the mem'bers of the Pipe Band. Air. and Airs. Crabtree left on Sunday morning, en route for Wellington, from which port they are leaving for an extendde holiday in England. Air. B. Fail-brother, teacher at the Boys’ Home, Eltliam, has been appointed to Roto-Roa Island, in a similar position. He leaves on Tuesday to take up his duties.
