The Meremere Sports Club Committed regret that it has been compelled to abandon the professional part of the sports programme owing to insufficient entries coming to hand. The programme has been supplemented with various local events some of which are advertised. The principal feature of the programme is. of course, the amateur athletic section and it' is expected that there will be generfme support of competitors from Patea, Rawer a and districts. Owing to extensive alterations shortly to be put in‘hand by Harrops Ltd. their entire stock of drapery and clothing will he offered to the public less a cash discount of 3/- in the £, commencing Monday, 20th April.—Harrops Ltd., Hawera.
