CONCENTRATION POLICY IN FORCE.

(By Telegraph.—Special to Star). WELLINGTON, April 23. Some time ago a proposal was made for the concentration of alt leper patients from British countries in the Pacific at a leper station at- Mnkngai, in Fiji.

Iri mirx.uanee of this arrangement. Sir M. Poinare, Minister for Health, stated to-day that ' Cabinet had received the transfer of-leper patients at Quail Island station, to Fiji. These comprise four Maoris, two Chinamen, and three Europeans. The New Zealand Government will hear the cost of their maintenance in Fiji, to which the patients will be sent in about three months’ time. All the patients have agreed to go, and the Quail Island station will he closed.
