ANNUAL -ELECTIONS. . Election, of ischooil committees. in the Wanganui Education, District took place on Monday night- At 'schools' in the- South Taranaki portion'd the' board’s area proceedings resulted as follows : ' : . .i Patea,. —-The meeting lapsed for want of a quorum, only the chairman, secretary, headmaster and one member, being present. A further meeting will be held a,t a later date, when if no committee' is elected, commissioners will be appointed by the Education Board. Alton. —There were only two householders present, and consequently, no committee was elected. A further meeting will be held at a later Abate. Whenuakura.—The following committee was elected: Messrs. Thorburn (chairman), Southcombe (secretary), Honeyfield, L. Hunt and F. Parsons. AVaverley.—The following committee was l elected: Messrs. J. Currie, W. PWallace, C. H. Southcombe, G. Spratt, S. Aiken„JL_ Kerr arid C. Ft Christensen Sr. tG. Spratt was appointed, chairman.
