An Arab dee'gation petitioned the Colonial Secretary, Mr L. S. Amery, for self-government. It protested 'lmt (no Arabs .were over-taxed. They urged Britain to abandon the futile Zionist experiment. , Intensive Jewish immigration, even including many desirable people, had ruined Palestine economically, and had detracted 1 rom British prestige. Mr Amery replied that Britain was striving to form an independent Arab Empire.—Sydney Sun Cab’e.
