George Washington TayJer (present Mayor) and Ira James Bridget were nominated to-dav for, the mayoralty, which Mr. 'J ’ayler has held since 1919, as well as being the first Mayor of Eltham, from 1991 to 1909. (For the Borough Council only the required nominations (nine) were received. Messrs G. W. Tayler and C. N. Taplin were nominated for one seat on the Hospital Board, and H. G. Carman was elected unopposed to the Taranaki Electric Power Board.. He is the present chairman of the board. AT EKETAHUNA. EKETAHUNA, April 22. Mr. W. Simpson has been returned unopposed as Mayor. The required number of councillors were also nominated. A. H.. Herbert' and Phil Pike were nominated for one seat on the Power Board to represent the borough.
