HAWERA MALE CHOIR.

NEXT CONCERT. For the Male Choir concert to be held at an early date Miss Myra Sawyer, of 'Wellington, has been engaged as soloist. It had been hoped that Miss Mary MacCormick, of Sydney Conserve toriuni, would be available, but she has not been able to complete arrangements to visit New Zealand at present, but hoped to do so latex in the year, and may yet be in time for the second concert. The music for the choral effort, “Hiawatha’s Wedding Feast,” has been ordered from the Philharmonic Society, Melbourne, and it is expected- to arrive in time for the firs.t practice on May 4. The choir is making good progress with its preparation for the first concert of the season, and some very fine numbers are in hand which should prove most popular with patrons.
