STATE CONTROL.

SA SK AT CHEW AN ‘ ‘ WET. ’ ’

GOVERNMENT SELLING LIQUOR

«Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received April 17, 8.5 a.in. NEW YORK, April 16. The State of Saskatchewan, which has been “dry” since 1915, is now “wet,” the sa*'e of liquor having been resumed, this time from Government stores. The system is similar to that in British Columbia, where the Provincial Government stores and sells the harder liquors, while one hundred and forty new beer halls are scattered through the country and are operated by private licensees. —Sydney Sun Cab’e.
