MRS LUBBOCK’S AFFAIRS.
IN OFFICIAL RECEIVER’S HANDS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT LONDON, April 15. At a meeting of creditors of Mr 3 Lubbock, the official receiver announced that her liabilities were £l3ll. Her assets were £SOO, consisting of the damages awarded in the breach of promise action against Williams. This amount has been garnished.. It was stated that the deficiency was due to legal charges and interest on borrowed money. \ Mrs .Lubbock was reeeutly arrested on a warrant alleging that she obtained £IOO by means of false pretences. Shortly before the arrest she had been awarded £SOO damages in an action for breach of promise brought by her against Frank Greswolde-Wil-liams, aged 50. It was alleged that Williams was constantly drunk, and in the habit of proposing to every woman he met. The judge tdld the jury it had to decide whether Williams proposed while in a state of “erotic alcoholic imbecility.” ,
