Captain Reliant -Vimund.s:eii, m a. radio from King s Jiay, fepitzbergeii, states, that the J? rann reached the eitgo of the ice at King A Day at 2 'a. in. on Monday utter a satisfactory classing, despite sno.w and fog on Sunday morning and scattered drift ice, which compelled the t ram to. proceed slowiy. Small spurts of fog made it difficult to determine the position, but suddenly the mists parted on Sunday night 'and the captain caught a glimpse of the northern point of Prince Karl Foreland. The ship is now proceeding full speed up the ljord. During the voyage the Fram lost connection.with the Hobby, which was outpaced, but is expected in. King’s Bay in twenty-four hours. The weaDier forecasts have held good and the meteorological service on the Fram. is functioning satisfactorily, and will be still better when American reports are received after April 15. Captain Amundsen adds: “We are in excellent spi ri.ts. ’ ’
