TO-DAY’S NOTIFICATIONS

OVER THE HOLIDAY PERIOD

(BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION • WELLINGTON, April 14. The Health Department received the following notifications of cases of infantile paralysis for the period starting at 9 a.in. oil Thursday last and ending 9 a.in. to-day: Auckland health district.—Orakei one, Henderson two, Wellsford one, and Paterangi one. Wellington health district. —New Plymouth one, Opunake one, Hawera one, Patea one. Shannon two, and Masterton one.

Canterbury health district. —Christchurch one.' Fen dal ton one, Smitlifield one, Waimate one. and Ross (V est Coasti one.

Otago health district. —St. Hilda one Warrington one, Enfield one. Total for five days, 20.

TN HAWERA

No further eases are reported for the district, and two under observation at the Hawera Hospital a re stated by the medical superintendent to he slightly improved.
