CLOTHES STANDS.
Some new stands for hanging garments on are on the market in the Old Country. They are or white enamel fitted with nickel-plated hooks, and are intended for use in the bathroom. These stands are about six feet high; they rest on three legs and have either hooks or pegs for hanging the clothes. They may he fixed into the floor if desired, and metal plates are supplied for its ourpose, but they stand quite firm without fixing. Clothes stands are almost a necessity in the bathroom, hut a small wardrobe of white enamelled wood is better because of the steam. Any garment hanging on a hook in a bathroom must become damp with the steam from the hot water, but if shut ui) in a wardrobe is safe enough. Often there is a cupboard m the bathroom which is useful for tins purpose. The new stands, howeyei, arc very nice looking, and would undoufbtedly he useful. They are enamelled in such a way that the sui - Jface will never crack or turn yellow, but will always retain a high gloss. Bathroom chairs, with seats of cork, are also shown enamelled in the same manner, as are towel-rails.
