BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received April 11, ,11.45 a.m.) NEW YOEK, April 10. Daily reports of encountered by Lieut. McMillan, who will be exploring the unknown area between Alaska and the North Pole during the summer, will be reecivecl by the Amencan fleet while off the Australian coast. Lieut.-Commander MacDonald, .who is president -of the National Broadcasting League, and Mr Fred Schnell, traffic manager of the American Radio League, will undertake the linking together of the Polar legions and the Antipodes by radio. Commander MacDonald will be with the McMillan party and Mr Schnell will be aboard the flagship Seattle. Commander MacDonald, outlining his plans, said that he expected to communicate with Mr Schnell at least once daily, both sending and receiving. All messages will he sent on the 20-metre wave length. “I am confident our experiment .will be a success with code signalling, and am hopeful that the broadcasting of. spoken, words will be accomplished,” he said. —A. and N.Z.
