STADIUM DECLINES TO PAY OUT. MANAGER. ALLEGES HE WAS MISLED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT MELBOURNE, April 6. The Stadium authorities have decided not to pay £IOOO which was to have been paid*to the winner of Saturday’s wrestling match, which was for the world’s light-heavyweight- championship and a purse of £IOOO, but the manager of the Stadium states that he is now informed that the challenger could not win the world’s championship “on points,” although the articles signed by Thye and Miller provided for a points decision. The manager states that he has been misled, and each wrestler will receive only 25 per cent, of the gate money. (A previous message stated that the match between Thye and Afiller was drawn' each having one fall.) . ;■
