IN IMPORTED CONTAINERS
TARANAKI COMPANIES TO
EXPERIMENT
An extraordinary general meeting of representatives of dairy companies holding shares in the Egmont. Rox Com--pany was held at Eltliam to-day to consider the question of importing supplies of boxes and crates for use in packing butter and cheese exports. Mr J. B. Murdoch (chairman of directors) presided over the gathering, at which approximately 70 companies were represented. After a lengthy discussion, in the course of which "the necessity for importing timber supplies to supplement New Zealand white nine, which was considered insufficient to • cone with future requirements was stressed, it was finally resolved, on the motion ol Mr J. Marx (Mangatoki), seconded by Mr W. C. Green (Rahotu), to recommend the. directors that as an experiment a number of butter boxes and cheese crates lie imported and distributed among the various companies interested.
