EGMONT RACING CLUB. WINTER RACE MEETING. The two days’ winter race meeting of the Egmont Racing Club will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, May 13 Hnd 14, nominations for all events closing on Friday, 24th inst. The club, following its usual practice, offers substantial stakes, which total £3350. The chief events on the first day are the Egmont Steeplechase of 500 sovs. and fhe Mcßae Handicap of 350 sovs. On the second day the Adamson Steeplechase and the Davidson Handicap, each of 300 sovs., carry the best stakes. It will be noticed that the title of the second day’s steeplechase has been changed from “Opeke” to ‘‘Adamson” steeples, this in Wiemorv of the late patron of club.
