SCHOOL AGAIN
FOR SECONDARY PUPILS.

ATTENDANCE NOT COMPULSORY. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, April 4. Cabinet to-day decided that the schools will reopen on ‘Wednesday, April 15, where the epidemic appears to have run its course. Attendance is not to be compulsory till otherwise notified. Details are: In the North Auckland district only secondarv schools will reopen. In Central Auckland all schools will reopen. In J>outh Auckland the present restridtions will lie maintained till further notice. In Coromandel and Opotiki only secondary schools will reopen. Lp Wairarapa and East Cape all schools will remain closed, except in Waipawa and Wairarapa hospital district. i.n the Taranaki-Horowlien ua district the secondary; schools only will open. In greater Wellington and Makar a all schools will; reopen. ' In the South Island all schools re- . main closed, except the secondary schools in the Nelson-Marlborougli district. ■ / , The mandate against inter-island travel is to be lifted ; also, in Central Auckland and Central Wellington the ban on amusements and the congrega-. tion of children will be removed. is emphasised that attendance at school where permitted is purely voluntary. Two cases of infantile paralysis were reported during the week-end, one from Tiniroto and the other from Manutuke.
