INVITATION TO AUSTRALIA. (by TKT.POKAPH- — imesa ASSOCIATION • t CHRISTCHURCH, April 4. At meeting of the council of the New Zealand Hockey Association, a sub-committee was appointed to go into the question of inviting an Australian team to tour the Dominion. A telegram was received from Mr L. H. Morton, at present in Sydney, to the.effect that such an invitation was much desired and a very strong team was certain to he sent. " . ' It was agreed to ask the associations to collect a shilling per player for the purpose of raising funds for the Manning Memorial' Cup.
