He said they all* looked forward to a very successful season. To Mrs O. Hawken fell the honour of driving the first ball, and then the captain declared the links open for the season. , . The competition was a nine-hole mixed foursome, and [the- prize was won by Miss Baker and Belcher, who returned a net card of 28 (handicap 25). The next was Mrs de Launay and Ritter with 30 (handicap 28).
